Mortgage Protection – standard decreasing life insurance from Aviva, will pay-out a lump sum to clear your mortgage, should a death claim occur during the policy term. Your premium is fixed and the policy is easily assignable to your lender. Complimentary benefits benefits and features include; Best Doctors, Accidental Death Benefit and Guaranteed Insurability, which allows certain cover increases and policy term extension, free of medical questions. The policy also comes with the first month free!

Advance Cover - Accidental Death Benefit

Your insured life cover amount, up to a maximum of €150,000 is payable, if a life proposed dies from bodily injury as a result of an accident while Aviva is still processing your fully completed application form, it continues to apply within the first 3 months from application receipt.

Guaranteed Insurability

This option allows you to increase the level of your cover by up to €40,000, and/or to increase your policy’s term without providing medical evidence, up until you turn 70. This means there is no new application to complete, just written confirmation that you are borrowing the extra money.

Children’s Cover

If you have added serious illness cover to your plan, if your child dies during the term of your policy, a sum of €2,500 will be paid out. Children are also covered for the same specified illnesses as the policy holder, subject to a maximum of €25,000 for full payment illnesses and €10,000 for partial payment illnesses.This child cover applies between the ages of 30 days and age 21.

6 Month Reinstatement Clause

If your Mortgage Protection Cover lapses, you may reinstate it at any time within the following 6 months. This reinstatement will be subject to you providing us with satisfactory evidence of your ongoing good health – and paying all the outstanding premiums, plus any late payment charge that may apply at that time. This is unique to Aviva.
