ARFs usually involve a single annual charge based on the total value of your fund, commonly referred to as the AMC (Annual Management Charge). Depending on the investment funds selected, additional underlying fund costs may also apply. Together, these form the TER (Total Expense Ratio), which represents the true ongoing annual cost of your ARF.
For full transparency, you should always ask for the TER rather than focusing solely on the AMC.
Charges can vary significantly between providers and will typically depend on:
- the amount invested,
- the type of funds selected,
- and the level of ongoing adviser service provided.
Our ongoing adviser support charge is typically 0.25% per annum and is built into the overall annual charge. This includes annual reviews, portfolio oversight, investment rebalancing, and ongoing client support.
For ARF portfolios of €500,000 or more, clients can typically expect a total all-inclusive annual charge of approximately 0.75% with 100% investment allocation.
